A-dec and Dentsply Sirona recently announced that they are expanding their existing strategic partnership with a significant product integration: the Dentsply Sirona Midwest Motor System will now be available directly within A-dec’s 500 Pro and 300 Pro delivery systems.

The move consolidates restorative, endodontic, implant, and apex-locating capabilities into a single delivery system, eliminating the need for separate tabletop devices that currently occupy valuable operatory space. For practices that perform a range of procedures across these disciplines, the integration represents a meaningful workflow simplification—one touchscreen and one shared foot control now govern all functions.

On the endodontic side, the system includes an integrated apex locator and comes preloaded with file libraries for Dentsply Sirona’s WaveOne and Reciproc systems. For implant workflows, clinicians gain access to a built-in peristaltic pump for sterile saline delivery and preloaded implant libraries designed to streamline surgical procedures. Integrated implantology will be available on A-dec 500 Pro delivery systems, while integrated apex location will be available on both the 500 Pro and 300 Pro models equipped with DS5 touchscreens.

The integration runs on A-dec+, the company’s upgradable software platform that pushes updates to connected equipment. That means practices with the new Midwest capabilities will automatically receive additions to Dentsply Sirona’s endodontic file and implant workflow libraries as they become available—no hardware swaps required.

“By integrating the Midwest Motor System into A-dec delivery systems, we’re making it easier for clinicians to access the precision and versatility they rely on every day,” said Mark Bezjak, Group Vice President, Americas at Dentsply Sirona. He framed the integration as an advancement of “connected dentistry” that brings together integrated technologies, software-enabled updates, and global support.

Ryan Williams, A-dec’s Senior Vice President of Product & Technology, emphasized the longevity angle. “A-dec is committed to building delivery systems designed for longevity, so operatories can evolve as practices grow,” he said, noting that the Midwest integration allows doctors to expand the range of treatments they provide through a single interface.

The integrated Midwest Motor System will be available in Q1 2026 through authorized dealers as a factory-installed option on new A-dec 500 Pro and 300 Pro delivery systems. Retrofit kits will also be available for existing A-dec Pro delivery systems, giving current owners a path to upgrade without replacing their entire setup.
